Staff Reporter :Eminent jurist Barrister Rafiq Ul Haque on Sunday said dialogue must be held not only between the two leaders but also with the civil society to find out a solution to the ongoing political impasse of the country.Welcoming the civil society’s initiative to solve the crisis, he said strike, blockade, violation and repression never can solve any problem. Talking to the journalists at his Supreme Court office, Haque said, “Earlier, different issues were settled in different countries in the world through dialogues. We also have to follow that path. Now those who are in the power should take the initiative to hold a dialogue”.Though the government is saying there is no crisis in the country, Haque is of the opinion that the country is facing a serious problem. The United Nations is concerned over the political crisis of Bangladesh, he said. Regarding to the food supply to the office of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, he said it is unjust and a violation of human rights. At the same time he also asked how the BNP chairperson lives if food supply is interrupted at her office. The commencement of dialogue and end of violence should be held together, he said. “We are observing Pohela Falgun (The first day of Spring in Bangla calendar) and Valentine’s Day and at the same time we are also killing people. Both cannot go together. Violence, strike, blockade must be stopped,” Haque said.
