Dhruv Sunish of India earned double crown in the Walton 29th Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Championship clinching boys singles and doubles title at the Ramna National Tennis Complex here on Saturday.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder witnessed the day’s final as chief guest and later he distributed the prizes.
Dhruv Sunish (IND) [1] clinched the boys singles title beating Naow Hazem (SYR) [3] 7-6 (4), 6-1 while Surish pairing with Parikshit Somani (IND) won the boys double crown beating Vikrant Dhiya (IND) and Sanil Jagtiani (IND) 7-6, 4-6 (10-2)
Tran Demi of the Netherlands clinched the girls’ singles title beating her sister Tran Lian (NED) [4] 3-6, 6-3, 6-2
Chinese Taipie pair Hsiao Yun and Chang, Li-Hsin won the girls doubles crown beating Karunaratne, Adithya (SRI)and RAJAN Rashmika (IND) 6-4, 7-5
Forty boys and 30 girls from 13 countries took part in the meet.
