The first-ever ‘Dhaka Women’s Marathon-2016’ initiated by Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Syed Khokon and organised by Everest Academy and under the supervision of Bangladesh Athletics Federation, will be held in the city tomorrow (Friday). Actor and Producer Anonta Jalil and actress Barsha will inaugurate marathon in the morning and Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University ASM Arefin Siddique and Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation Syed Khokon will distribute the prizes at the closing function. The 10-kilomete long marathon will start from TSC of Dhaka University at 9 am and will conclude at the same place after parading Shahbagh, Science Lab, New Market, Azimpur, Shaheed Minar, Doyel Square, High Court, Kakrail Mosque, Holy Family Hospital, Eskaton Garden Road, Hotel Ruposhi Bangla and Shahbagh. First three positions holders will be awarded with trophies, next five position holders will be given prize money and another 100 participants will awarded with medals. All the participants will get certificates.
