The United States has sought effective masseurs to address concerns over human rights, governance,
transnational crimes and cyber security challenges in Bangladesh and offered its support to Bangladesh in achieving development goals. “We’ve long talked about our concerns over the situation in Bangladesh, and again,
I would say clearly those issues and our concerns were obviously part of the discussions here at the State Department,” said John Kirby, Spokesperson of the US Department State, at a press briefing on Friday.
Recognising the challenges on security aspects, both countries agreed to enhance the cooperation in the areas of counterterrorism and countering violent extremism through capacity enhancement.
