Dhaka University has awarded ‘Novera Deepita Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship’ 2012-13 to Zahidul Islam, a student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of the university for obtaining first class first position in honours final examination. Every year one student who secures first class first position in honours final examination receives this scholarship. The scholarship was given at the office of the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Tuesday. Chairperson of the Department Prof Akhtar Sultana presided over the function. Mother of Novera Deepita, Adila Bakul; Prof Dr Ahaduzzaman Mohammad Ali, Prof Mofizur Rahman and other faculty members of the Department were present on the occasion.
