The four-day International Tourism Fair tiled Dhaka Travel Mart-2014 was concluded on Saturday night here with a transaction of over Taka 4.5 crore.
Airlines, hotels, restaurants, resorts and tour operators have made either cash sale or received confirmed bookings worth Taka 2.5 crore, in the domestic sector, while tour packages, hotel bookings and other travel related services in the international sector have fetched a sale of nearly Taka 2 crore, organizers said.
The Bangladesh Monitor organized the fair at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel where about 50 organisations from seven countries – Malaysia, Thailand, Srilanka, Turkey, Nepal, UAE and host Bangladesh took part.
About ten thousand peoples visited the Dhaka Travel Mart-2014 in just three and a half day that shows the fair has played a significant role.
