Dhaka’s train services with northern and southern Bangladesh have been restored after it was disrupted for more than six hours due to erosion near a rail bridge in Tangail. Two passenger trains, stranded on each side of the Analiabarhi bridge at Kalihati, have left for their destinations, railway officials say. Rajshahi zone’s Assistant Engineer Afzal Hossain said trains started plying around 3:30pm on Saturday. Services had been disrupted since 10am.
