On the second day of countrywide lockdown on Thursday, transports have increased on the different roads of the capital.
The movement of common people has also increased remarkably on that day. In the morning, long queues of vehicles were seen at both entry and exit points of the capital’s Amin Bazar in Gabtoli area.
The reason behind coming out of the general people from residence was also verified by police very strictly.
Though, in some cases, people have been seen going out of the house just for fun, for hobbies or unnecessarily.
However, the issue of irregularities has been noticed more in some ghetto-neighborhoods area. Many people went out of the house without following the hygiene rules; even no one was seen supervising the matter. On the other hand, many were suffering a lot due to the lack of transportation for the employees of emergency organizations, including garments factories.
It was also noticed that DMP set up barricades with bamboo in many streets of the capital city. In addition, local residents have also set up barricades at many alleys of the city. Local volunteers are allowing people to move just to buy necessities.
Earlier, the government announced a one-week long complete lockdown across the country from April 14 to curb the rise of corona virus.
In this regard, a notification was issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday.
All government and non-government institutions except emergency services have been told to close before this time.
However, the garment factories are remaining open following the hygiene rules.
The lockdown will run from 6 am of April 14 to midnight of April 21.
