Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 begins tomorrow. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will face Khelaghar SKS in the day’s first match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur. The match begins at 12.30 pm,
In the day’s other match, Dhaka Abahani Limited will meet Brothers Union Club at the same venue. The match starts at 5.30 pm.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the first phase of the cricket meet.
Dhaka Abahani Limited, Prime Bank Cricket Club, Brothers Union Club have been billed in Group-A, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Khelaghar SKS, Uttara Sporting Club have been slatted in Group-B, Legends of Rupganj, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Shinepukur Cricket Club have been penciled in Group-C, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Gazi Group Cricketers, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) have been placed in Group-D.
The champions of the Group-B will take on the champions of the Group-C in the first semi-final at SBNCS on March 1, while the champions of the Group-A will face the champions of the Group-D in the second semi-final at the same venue on the same day.
The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final at the same venue on March 3.
