The 40-over-a-side Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League 2014-15 kicks off today (Friday) at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium (DCS) and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Pratishthan (BKSP) venues.
Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan Papon’s wife Roksana Hassan will inaugurate the competition at 8:30am at DCS.
In the opening day’s matches, Mohammedan Sporting Club will play Orient Sporting Club at DCS while Ansar & VDP face Rupali Bank Krira Parishad at BKSP-4.
In all 12 teams, split into two groups will compete in the meet.
Group-A comprises Mohammedan Sporting Club, Ansar & VDP, Rupali Bank Krira Parishad, Jahurul Islam City Cricket Club, Indira Road Krira Chakra and Orient Sporting Club.
Abahani Limited, AV Sporting Club, Khelaghar Shamaj Kalyan, Gulshan Youth Club, BKSP and Rayer Bazar Athletic are placed in Group-B.
