Dhaka Mohammedan SC were forced to share points with Soccer Club Feni as their 3rd match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football ended in goalless draw at MA Aziz Stadium here on Tuesday.
After the match, both the teams collected identical two points from three matches with two draws and one loss each.
In the day’s match, Soccer Club managed a good chance in the 9th minute to take the lead. Nigerian midfielder Uche Felix took a shot from the right flank that was connected by Ghanaian forward Ntim Twum Frank from the danger zone, but went outside edging the right post.
In the 75th minute, Mohammedan midfielder Biplu Ahmed missed a close call from the danger zone as his right footer off a free kick from Masuk Mia Jony went outside edging the left post.
Head Coach of traditional black-white Mohammedan Kazi Jashimuddin Josi expressed his dissatisfaction over the performance of their strikers, especially of their Guinean forward Ismael Bangura.
“I was very much hopeful that we would be able collect full three points from the match (against Soccer Club) to raise our collection to seven points from three matches. But my strikers, especially Bangura, disappoint me,” Josi said in the post-match press conference.
Head Coach of Soccer Club, Feni Ladi Baba Lola said his players displayed a good performance in the last three games, but the referees (in all three games) denied them deserved penalties in their favour.
“We were denied by referees. I don’t know why they (referees) deprived us? I deserved penalty in every match,” Lola said.
Replying to a query, he said he would not submit any formal appeal to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in this regard.
