Dhaka Metropolis team was trailing by 41 runs scoring 133 for 1 in 49 overs in the 2nd innings against Barisal Division on the 3rd of the four-day Tier-1 first class match of the National Cricket League of first class National Cricket League at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Tuesday.
Replying to Barisal Division first innings total 419 runs, Dhaka Metropolis team was all out for 245 runs in 99.3 overs in the first innings to be the victim of follow-on.
Dhaka Metropolis team resumed the first innings with overnight score 145 for 3 in over 61 overs and were all out for 245 runs in 99.3 overs with Shamsur Rahman making 49, Marshal Ayub 41, Asif Ahmed 33, Mehrab Hossain Jr 32, Mohammad Ashraful 26 runs.
Monir Hossain, Salman Hossain, Saleh Ahmed Shawon and Shohag Gazi took two wickets each conceding 29, 32, 48 and 61 runs respectively.
The other Tier-1 league match between Khulna Division and Dhaka Division could not be held due to rain and wet outfield at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra for the 2nd consecutive day (Tuesday).
Earlier on Sunday, Khulna Division scored a comfortable 172 for 1 in 50.5 overs against Dhaka Division in the rain-hit first innings on the first day of the four-day affairs.
National coloured opener Anamul Haque Bijoy and one down Mosaddek Iftekhar were batting with 84 and 71 runs respectively, adding 162 runs in the 2nd wicket stand.
