Dhaka Metropolis again suffer batting collapse in NCL

Dhaka Metropolis batsmen failed to acknowledge their bowlers good work as they suffered another batting collapse to find themselves staggering in their second innings at 27 for 4 at stumps against Dhaka division on the second day’s play of tier 2 four-day National Cricket League (NCL) held on Wednesday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Earlier, Dhaka metro were bundled out 166 and Dhaka Division were 19 for 2 hoping to take a healthy lead. But Dhaka Metro’s bowler led by former national captain Mohammad Ashraful with two wickets for 47 and Shahidul with two wickets managed to restrict Dhaka’s total to 187, allowing then only 21 runs lead.
Dhaka Metro batsmen again ran into trouble as they wobbling at 27 for 4 only ahead by six runs with four wickets in hand. Sadman Islam with 14 and Mohammad Ashraful with 0 were at the crease as bad light forced the umpires early close of second day’s play in the afternoon.
Mohammad Sharif and Sahadat Hossain bowled their heart to capture two wickets each giving away 2 and 13 runs respectively for Dhaka Metropolis.
