Mehrab Hossain Jr. and Mohammad Ashraful scored an unbeaten half centuries as Dhaka Metro scored 236 for 3 at stumps against Chittagong Division on the first day of tier 1 four-day 19th Walton Smart Fridge National Cricket League held on Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Mehrab remained with 75 along with former national skipper M Ashraful 54 as the bails were drawn for the day.
Earlier, the two Dhaka Metro openers Saykat Ali (48) and Shamsur Rahman (46) contributed 92-run opening stand, after they opted to bat first.
Iftekhar Sazzad Ronny captured two wickets giving away 58 runs.
