The match seems to be evenly poised as Dhaka Metropolis have taken overall 150 runs lead after they scored 138 for 4 in their second innings scoring against Barisal Division on the third day of Tier-1 four-day National Cricket League held on Thursday at BKSP ground in Savar.
Earlier in the day, Barisal in reply to Dhaka’s 292 first innings total were bowled out for 280 allowing Metropolis to lead by 150 runs as Dhaka in their second essay are 138 for 4 at the close on the third day’s play. .
Mehrab Hossain Jr. and former national skipper Mohammad Ashraful were at the crease with 30 and 20 runs respectively when the stumps were drawn for the day.
Touhidul Islam, Sohag Gazi, Saleh Ahmed and Salman Hossain all shared one wicket each for Barisal Division.
As the third day began, Barisal Division resumed their first innings at 165 for 5 and finally was dismissed at 280, in reply to a Dhaka Metropolis’s first innings total of 292.
Abu Haider and Elias Sunny were the pick of Metropolis bowlers as they grabbed four wickets each conceding 81 and 85 runs respectively.
