Kadamtola Purbo Bashabo School & College and Glory School & College reached the final of the Dhaka Metropolis phase of the Prime Bank National School Cricket Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at separate city venues on Sunday.
The two teams will play final on Wednesday (Apr 11). The champions team of Dhaka Metro along with seven divisional champion teams will play in the eight-team final round of the national school cricket tournament.
Kadamtola Purbo Bashabo School & College booked a seat for the final beating Faridabad High School by 82 runs in a curtailed 22-over a-side 2nd semifinal at Jahurul Hall ground of Dhaka University.
Batting first, Bashabo School were all out for 176 runs with Jubair making 42 hitting four fours and four sixes and Shahriar scoring 8-ball 18 runs with two sixes.
Mahadi Islam grabbed five wickets for 32 runs.
In reply, Faridabad High School were bundled out for 94 runs in 18.1 overs with Mohaimilun contributing 44 runs. Ifad Nazrul claimed four wickets for 11 runs.
In the other semifinal, Glory School & College moved to the final defeating Rayer Bazar High School by 99 runs.
