U-18 Nat'l Cricket: Dhaka Metro lead by 85 runs against BKSP

Dhaka Metro led by 85 runs over Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Pratishthan (BKSP) in the first innings on the first day of the three-day Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Competition at BKSP ground-4 on Thursday.
On the first day, Dhaka Metro bowler Omar Faruk captured 7 wickets for economic 19 runs to restrict BKSP at 111 runs in 34.5 overs, batting first after winning the toss, in the first innings.
Jakir Ali Anik scored 39 runs for BKSP while opener Mahbub Hasan (24), Abbas Musa (16) and Afif Hossain (11) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
In reply, Dhaka Metro opened their first innings and scored 196 runs for 5, at stumps, in 56 overs when the bails were drawn for the day.
Skipper Rakib scored the highest 51 runs off 58 balls featuring 10 fours while Kazi Anik Islam and Rabby Hasan were on batting scoring 46 and 41 runs respectively.
Shafiul Hayat Ridoy was the successful bowler for the side grabbing two wickets for 23 runs.
