The two mayors of Dhaka South and North city corporations on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait on the premises of Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Annisul Huq, mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Sayeed Khokon, mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), paid homage to the greatest Bengali of the past thousand years, a day after they were given the status of a minister.
Huq placed the wreaths first, followed by Khokon. General Secretary of Dhaka south unit of Awami League Shahe Alam Murad and other leaders and activists of two city units were present on the occasion.
