UNB, Dhaka :A new schedule for Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka ‘Maitree Express’ will come into effect on July 5 next. The special train – ‘Maitree Express’ – started running one additional round trip each week on January 4 last.With this, the ‘Maitree Express’ will now run thrice a week. It will run from Kolkata to Dhaka on Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday and from Dhaka to Kolkata on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.This arrangement will be in force till on July 4, 2015 after which a new schedule will come into effect from on July 5, 2015, according to Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
