The film submissions for the 8th Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) are officially closed. This festival aims to uphold and showcase hundreds of mobile films submitted by many amazing filmmakers. The sole purpose of this festival is to promote mobile film making in a broader spectrum and to normalise making film with new tools and technology, such as; mobile phones. The festival includes three different categories: Independent, Competition, and One-minute film category. Keeping some specifications in mind all three categories are open for all. The submissions started on April
3 and ended on October 28. Since then, the festival has received 153 films under different categories from 31 countries, such as; India, Iran, The United States, China, Australia, Peru, Tunisia, Chile.
