Shuvagata, Tasamul hit tons: Dhaka Div 616/5 (dec), Ctg Div trail by 216 runs

After Rony Talukder’s double ton of 201 runs on the second day, Shuvagata Hom hit a century of 119 runs on the third day to enable Dhaka Division declare the first innings at 616/5 against Chittagong Division in the third round of the four-day Walton 16th National Cricket League on Tuesday.
Opening the second innings on the third day at BKSP ground-3 in Savar, Chittagong Division (155 in 1st innings) scored 245 runs for 6 wickets in 81 overs to trail by trailing by 216 runs at stumps on the 3rd day.
Tasamul Haque scored a century of 114 runs while Irfaan Sukkur (74) was the other notable scorer for Chittagong Division.
Md Saifuddin and skipper Nazim Uddin were batting on 23 and 22 runs respectively.
Mosharraf Hossain grabbed three wickets for 68 runs while Dewan Sabbir and Taiabur Parvez took one wicket each.
Earlier, in the day’s play, Dhaka Division resumed the first innings with overnight 518 for 4 in 122 overs and scored 616 for 5 wickets in 140.3 overs before declaring the first innings.
Overnight batsman Shuvagata Hom scored 119 runs while Taiabur Parvez added not out 50 and Mosharraf Hossain made not out 18 runs. Nayeem Islam Jr and Younus tool two wickets each for 68 and 155 runs in the first innings.

Dhaka Metro vs Barisal Division
Barisal Division, which resumed first innings with overnight 141 for no loss in 39 overs, were all out for 261 runs in 82 overs.
Opener Shahriar Nafees (91) and Saif Hasan (63) were the notable scorers for the side. Elias Sunny claimed seven wickets for 73 runs while Shahid took two wickets for 46 runs. Dhaka Metro (400 runs in 1st innings) opened the second innings today (Tuesday) and scored 193 runs for 4 wickets in 45 overs at stumps on the day.
Asif Ahmed scored 53 runs while Shadman Islam (69) and Mehrab Hossain Jr (30) were batting.
Nuruzzaman, Al-Amin, Nasum Ahmed and Sohag Gazi took one wicket each for 11, 32, 33 and 43 runs respectively.

Skipper Alok Kapali (82), Roman Ahmed (78) and Ahmed Sadiqur (56) were the notable scorers for the side.
Sanjamul Islam grabbed five wickets for 84 runs while Forhad Hossain and Saqlain Sajib took two wickets each for 45 and 114 runs respectively.
Sylhet Division opened the second innings on the third day as they followed on and scored 42 for no lose at stumps in 13 overs when the bails were drawn for the day.
Imtiaz Hossain and Sayem Alam were batting on 25 and 15 runs respectively.
