Bangladesh and India have pledged to continue their efforts to enhance mutual cooperation in mass media. The pledge came when acting Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Dr Adarsh Swaika met Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at the Secretariat in the capital on Tuesday, a handout said.
During the meeting, they discussed in detail for jointly making two biographical films on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh Television and India’s largest public broadcasting agency – Prasar Bharati. Information Secretary Abdul Malek and senior officials of the Information Ministry and Indian High Commission were present at the meeting.
