Dhaka Cricketers defeated Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 40 runs in their Group A match of the Dhaka 3rd Division ODM Cricket League at City Club Ground on Wednesday.
Ashraful Jahid top-scored 91 runs for Dhaka Cricketers collection of 225 for all in 10 48.3 overs while Arman Sami Sadid and Sadman Hossain captured four wickets each to restrict Sk Russel KC at 185 for all in 42.5 overs.
Raton Hossain (53) made half century for Sk Russel KC while Sumon Reza and Sariful Islam bagged three wickets each for the side.
In the day’s other two ‘Group A’ matches, Progoti Sheba Shanga (167/8 in 47 overs) defeated Hillol Jubo Sangha (166/10 in 44.1 overs) by two-wickets at Jahangirnagar University ground.
Kamrangir Char Sporting Club (118/8 in 49 overs) also secured a two-wicket win against Mirpur Boys Cricket Club (117/10 in 41 overs) at Professor Hamidur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Keraniganj.
