Dhaka and Barisal Divisions reached the semifinals of the 2nd Development Cup Under-16 Football Tournament after winning their opening matches at the Mohammadpur Physical Education College ground on Tuesday.
In the day’s first match, Dhaka Division beat Rajshahi Division 3-0 with Maruf scoring twice and Poyel once. Later, Maruf was adjudged the man of the match.
In the day’s other match, Barisal Division defeated Sylhet Division 2-0 with goals scored by Shuvo and Rakib.
Both the semifinals will be held on Wednesday afternoon. The final match will commence on Friday at 3 pm. Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy will be the chief guest in the final.
