Dhaka Bank sign deal with SME Foundation

An agreement has been signed between Dhaka Bank Limited and SME Foundation to disburse loans to CMSME customers at a concessional interest rate under the incentive package announced by the government.
The agreement was signed between Dhaka Bank and SME Foundation at a ceremony held in the capital at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, recently.
Emranul Huq, Managing Director & CEO of Dhaka Bank Limited and Md. Mafizur Rahman Managing Director of SME Foundation signed and exchange the agreement on behalf of their organizations. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Chief Emerging Market Officer (CEMO) and Md. Mahbubur Rahman Palash, Head of MSME Business of the bank were present during the agreement signing ceremony.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Financial Institutions Division Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, SME Foundation Chairman Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, high officials of different banks and NBFIs were also present in the signing ceremony. After successfully implementing the two phases of Covid-19 stimulus package, the SME Foundation has formed a revolving loan facility amounting to Tk. 300 crore with the fund from the government’s stimulus package channeled through the foundation.
