Dhaka back to business as usual after shutdown ends

Dhaka, the capital city has become noisy and full of traffic jams in different intersections which recalls the previous hectic city after the end of the general holidays.
From Sunday morning, thousands of private cars are seen on Dhaka roads after more than two-month of general holiday which was imposed to control the novel coronavirus spread. The long tailback was seen on Uttara-Mohakhali road.
Nazir Ahmed, a private service holder told that he had to wait at least 30 minutes on Banani flyover to get a vehicle.
“It seems nothing happens to the city, all are okay and everyone is busy with their works,” he added.
Milton Datta, a sergeant of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Gulshan zone told The Business Standard, they are facing huge tailbacks in the capital’s Kakoli intersection.
