Dhaka Art Summit is called the biggest exhibition of South Asian art works exhibitions and paintings. Rising and promising artists alongside eminent and promising artists from home and abroad will participate. The Summit Art Foundation has been organising the International Summit successfully since 2012.
The nine-day fifth Dhaka Art Summit will be inaugurated by the State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on February 7.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be present as the special guest. Liaquat Ali Lucky, Director General of the Academy, Dhaka Art Summit Organising Committee Chairman Farooq Sobhan and Nadia Samdani, Director of the Samdani Art Foundation, will be also present among others.
This was announced at a press conference held at the National Art Gallery’s auditorium on Tuesday. Co-Founder of the Samdani Art Foundation Rajib Samdani and Nadia Samdani highlighted the details of the summit. Secretary of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Badrul Alam Bhuiyan was present on the occasion. One of the curators of the summit Biswajit Goswami also highlighted various aspects of the exhibition.
