Dhaka Abahani Limited will face ATK Mohun Bagan in their play-off match of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Cup at Kolkata, the former capital city of India on April 19.
Dhaka Abahani Limited got walk over against Valencia Club of Maldives in their preliminary round match at Sylhet District Stadium on April 12.
On the other hand, ATK Mohun Bagan blanked Blue Star Sporting Club pf Sri Lanka by five goals to nil in their preliminary round match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday evening.
The winners of the play-off match between Dhaka Abahani Limited and ATK Mohun Bagan will play in South Asian group of AFC Cup. If the stipulated ninety-minute match ended in a draw the match will turn in extra time. If the extra-time match ended in a draw, the fate of the match will be decided in the penalty shoot-out.
Meanwhile, Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh, Gokulam Kerela FC of India, Maziya Sports & Recreation Club have already qualified for the South Asian group of AFC Cup. The group matches will be held in Kolkata on May 18 to May 24. The matches will be held on round-robin league basis. The highest point-taker team will play in the next round.
