Dhaka Abahani Limited will face Uttar Baridhara Club in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today. The match will kick-off at 4.00pm.
Earlier, Dhaka Abahani Limited beat Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 goals in their first leg match.
The Dhanmondi based outfit grabbed 43 points from 22 matches, while Uttar Baridhara Club earned 23 points from 19 outings.
Dhaka Abahani Limited have taken the third spot in the points table, while Uttar Baridhara Club have taken the 11th position.
Holders Bashundhara Kings retained their BPL title gaining 58 points from 21 matches.
On the other hand, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited have taken the second position claiming 49 points from 23 matches.
Dhaka Abahani Limited have to win in today’s match if they keep them in the runners-up race.
Tomorrow a total of five matches of BPL Football will be held at the different venues of the city.
Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will take on Bangladesh Police Football Club at Bangladesh Army Stadium at 2.00pm, while Rahmatganj MFS will face Arambagh Krira Sangha at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) at 4.00pm, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited will meet Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited at Bangladesh Army Stadium at 4.15pm, Saif Sporting Club Limited will face Brothers Union at the BNS at 6.15pm, Chittagong Abahani Limited will take on Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra Limited at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur at 5.15pm.
