The 137-page guidelines were finalised on Tuesday morning.
Earlier on Monday, the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) approved the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca for emergency use in Bangladesh, paving the way for its import from India.
DGDA Director General Maj Gen M Mahbubur Rahman gave the emergency use authorisation (EUA), Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, director of the Central Medical Stores Depot, told the Somoy News.
With the approval, there is no barrier to importing the vaccine from the Serum Institute of India, he said.
