Amid drizzling and cold wave, an elderly devotee died early Friday during the second day of an Ijtema here.
The deceased was identified as Md Islam, 62, son of late Abdul Karim of Choufaldandi area under Cox’s Bazar Sadar upazila.
Chief Moderator of Ijtema Implementation Committee Mufti Morshedul Alam confirmed the death and said at 3am Md Islam felt pain in his chest and died within next 30 minutes.
