A seven-day fair titled ‘Development Fair-2019’ is going to start in the city on Thursday showcasing the products of the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) programme participants.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the fair at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital, said Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, chairman of the PKSF, at a press briefing at the National Press Club on Monday. The Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) is the organiser of the fair.
Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah, managing director of the PKSF and Dr Md Jashim Uddin, deputy managing director, among others, were present during the press conference.
A total of 190 stalls will be set up by 130 organisations, including small public and private manufacturers of remote areas, research organisations and IT institutions in the fair.
Five seminars will also be held on Promoting Microenterprise in Bangladesh: Current Status and Future Prospects, Establishing Human Dignity through ENRICH Program of PKSF, Implementation of SDGS in Bangladesh: Current Status and Future Prospects, Employment Generation in Rural Bangladesh in the Context of Technological Advancement, and Livelihood Enhancement through Modern Agricultural Practices: PKSF’s Experiences.
