Joint Action For Nutrition Outcome (JANO) Project of Plan International Bangladesh organised 5- day long Training of Trainers (TOT) training from 27-31 January 2020 on Gender Equity Movement in School (GEMS) in RDRS, Rangpur for the teachers of higher secondary school, madrasah and officer of the District Education Department in Rangpur and Nilphamari district.
Prof. Dr. Syed Md. Golam Faruk, Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education was grace the closing ceremony of the training as Chief Guest on 31 January 2020. Prof. Dr. A.K.M Shirajul Islam, Director, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of Rangpur Region presided over the event. Aniqa Raisa Chowdhury, Deputy Director, of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Md. Akhteruzzaman, Deputy Director of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of Rangpur, Murshid Aktar, Head of Education programme of Plan International Bangladesh, Ashish Kumar Bakshi, Divisional Manager of Plan International Bangladesh were present as a special guest.
A team of nine members from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) of Bangladesh facilitated the session.
A total of 50 participants divided into two groups attended in the training. The objective of the training is to develop resource trainers.
