Workers Party confce held in Nilphamari: Develop left- leaning forces to eliminate fundamentalists : Menon

The fifth district conference of Bangladesh Workers Party was held in Nilphamari at local Shilpakala Academy premises on Sunday .
Presided over by Tapan Kumar Roy, District Unit President of the party, it was attended as Chief Guest by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon who is also central committee president of Bangladesh Workers Party.
Polit Bureau Member of the party Mahmudul Hasan Manik and central committee member Noor Mohammad Khan were present there as special guest.
In his speech Rashed Khan Menon said that people were struggling to resist fundamentalist and imperialist forces to make a secular and democratic country.
He also said that per head income is increased tremendously in the country but discrimination between rich and poor had been widened which is contrary to the sprit of our liberation war.
To get a permanent solution of all the major problems of the country and eliminate exploitation from the society he urged party leaders and activists of all rank and file to work for developing a left leaning substitute force.
On occasion of the conference a large number of party activists from all the six upazilas of the district arrived at the conference venue with vehicles and the auditorium became well packed.
