Hajj flight schedule is expected to be announced very shortly by the government . A meeting of the Hajj Jatri Kaylan Parishad held on Saturday last in the port city demanded to include the desired flights from shah Amanat International airport, Chattogram in the schedule.
The numbers of hajj pilgrims from Chattogram Division is about 30 ,000 which is one fourth of the total hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh. The meeting demanded to allocate enough flights from Chattogram to Jeddah & Madina airport so that no pilgrim compelled to embark on Biman or Saudi airlines from Dhaka .
The meeting of HJKP was held at Hotel Paramount International hall room in the port city on Saturday at 5 pm with its President Ahmadul Islam Chowdhury in the chair. Secretary General of the HJK P Principal Dr. Abdul Karim delivered address of welcome in the meeting. The meeting also decided to arrange daylong Hajj training and seminar for the intending pilgrims at Motel Saikat in the city on June 20 next. Mentionable that Prime Minister expressed desire to commission Hajj pilgrims’ programs at Pahartali Hajj camp , Chattogram three years ago and the Prime Minister’s directives yet to be implemented lack of provisions of fund allocation. The meeting also expressed concern for delaying the implementation of PM’s directives. Alhaj Dr. Saleh Ahmed Suleman conducted the meeting .
