Deshbandhu Group plans to expand its business

Deshbandhu Group is going to expand its business with a view to achieving the company’s goal.
The top officials of the group said, it has already built new factories and departments as part of the expansion. Some factories have started production from the New Year.
They said that a good number of people will get job for the expansion of the company.
The Group is now engaged in manufacturing and marketing of Refined Sugar, PP Woven Bag, Cement, Ship Management, Automatic Rice Milling, News Papers publications, Woven Sweater Manufacturing, Producing Power, Real Estate Development and Trading of Bulk Commodities in the country. It also exports some products to the abroad.
While visiting the refined sugar, PP woven bag and biscuit factory located at Char Shindhur village under Palash upazial in Narsingdi district, the environment of these factories is good and healthy. The labours of the factories are happy over the behavior and other activities of the company. They also get their salaries in time every month.
Factory to produce beverage items is under construction. The officials hope that they will be able to open the factory by April this year. They were seen confident about their quality production.
Provash Chakrabarty, Project Director of Deshbandhu Group told The New Nation that the Deshbandhu Suger Mill established in 1932. A total of 500 tons suger is being produced in the Mill every day. “We have taken plan to increase it to 1500 tons per day. If we can achieve the target, the Deshbandhu Suger Mill will be one of the largest super companies in the country,” he said.
“Deshbandhu Group entered into the manufacturing business by setting up the first ever sugar refinery namely “Deshbandhu Sugar Mills Ltd.” in Bangladesh. This flagship company in Bangladesh is the only who has got membership of Refined Sugar Association (RSA), London and the sole exporter of sugar against Everything But Arms (EBA) Initiative to European Union,” Provash Chakrabarty said.
A S M Nasir Uddin, Assistant General Manager (Sales and Marketing) of Deshbandhu Polymer Ltd said, after increasing the capacity of the company it could produce six crore different types of bags in the factory.
