Professor Dr Ashraf Jawaid, Deputy Vice -Chancellor (VC) of University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom called on Dhaka University (DU) VC Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Sunday at the latter’s office on the campus.
Nasir Mahmood Ahmed, Head of International Marketing of the University of Bedfordshire and Professor Dr SM Mahfuzur Rahman of International Business department of DU were present on the occasion. During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes between DU and University of Bedfordshire. They stressed the need for holding special lectures, seminars, symposia and workshops on international business at DU for the benefit of general students.
The possibilities of introducing double degree programmes under the joint auspices of DU and the UK university were also discussed at the meeting.
