Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal of Feni yesterday (Monday) recorded the depositions of Nusrat Jahan Rafi’s two classmates- Nishat Sultana and Nasrin Sultana Spurti in the case filed over the murder of madrasa student Nusrat.
Nurul Amin, Office Assistant of the madrasa will testify toda (Tuesday) in the case. On Monday, Judge Mamunur Rashid of the court recorded the depositions of the witnesses. The defence lawyers cross-examined Nishat. Later, four lawyers of the accused cross-examined Nasrin. Twelve more lawyers of the accused will cross-examine her today.
While testifying in the court Nasrin said that Principal Siraj tried to violate her. Besides, he violated many other girls.
Of the 92 witnesses, three were produced in the court to record their depositions in the case. They are complainant Mahmudul Hasan Nomal, Nusrat’s friend Nishat and class-mate Nasrin Sultana Spurti. On the occasion, all the 16 accused were produced in the court amidst tight security to avoid any kind of untoward situation.
