Chairman of Rajshahi University Ceramics and Sculpture Department on Wednesday submitted a written complaint to the university authorities, requesting to take necessary action against those students who were behind in overturning of the sculptures at the faculty on early Tuesday.
Prof Mostafa Anowar, on the behalf of the department, submitted the complaint to the university registrar Professor Muhammad Entazul Huque and to the art faculty dean Professor Mostafizur Rahman at noon.
“Through written complaint, we have strongly condemned the incident and requested to the university authorities to take necessary actions against those who were involved in dislodging of the sculptures”, said Prof Anwar.
When contacted, RU art faculty dean Professor Mostafizur Rahman told the New Nation that they would take necessary steps following the written complaint.
