Ferry service on Paturia-Daulatdia ghat, on the Padma river, resumed six hours after being suspended due to dense fog.
The ferry service was suspended, to avoid any type of accident in the river amid dense fog, around 12:00am, Md Zillur Rahman, deputy general manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC at Aricha office, told Manikganj correspondent. The service resumed around 6:30am when the fog cleared, he said.
He added that around 300 vehicles including goods-laden trucks were stuck at the ghat area following the suspension.
