Aedes mosquitoes breed in the country between January and August. The virus circulates in the blood of an infected person for 2-7 days and at the same time the person develops a fever, according to World Health Organisation.
According to health experts, mosquito-borne dengue fever has raised again in the capital city following the variation in rainfall pattern. Generally, people in the city get affected with the dengue fever when monsoon begins since mosquitoes find a suitable atmosphere and spread the virus.
