A total of 142 new dengue patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours, among them, 104 were in Dhaka and 38 people were admitted to the hospitals outside Dhaka.
The information was obtained in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.
The DGHS press release said a total of 543 dengue patients were currently hospitalized in different public and private hospitals of the country, of these, 436 patients are undergoing treatment at 46 public, private hospitals in Dhaka and 104 are being treated in other divisions.
The total number of dengue patients hospitalized from the current year’s January 1 to November 20 was 26,343. At the same time, 25,708 patients were discharged from the hospitals after recovery. So far, 98 people died after contracting dengue fever.
