An activist of United People’s Democratic Front (Democratic UPDF) has been missing for 21 days in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari hill district. He was missing from Yiarengchhari area on 21 April at Dighinala upazila.
The disappeared was identified as, Lang Kumar Tripura, 42, son of Padma Kumar Tripur of Jowthakhamar area in Dighinala upazila.
Disappeared’s Son Parishad Tripura, 20, and daughter Polina Tripura, 15, said, “We did not find our father after a lot of search. We want to get our father alive or dead.”
Central President of Democratic UPDF Shyamal Kanti Chakma said, “We think that UPDF terrorists led by Prasit Khisha have killed Lang Kumar Tripura after abduction.”
Dighinala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Uttam Chandra said, “No one complained to the police station in this incident. The action will be taken after receiving specific complaints.”
Note that, Due to their internal conflict, on 15 November, 2017, the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) has been divided. Since then, incidents of murder and kidnapping continued between the two parties.
