Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the trend of democracy will continue in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The present government is working relentlessly to protect democracy,” he told reporters after paying homage to Shaheed Noor Hossain Square in the city on Wednesday morning.
Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the long- cherished democracy was unchained in exchange of the blood of Shaheed Noor Hossain under the leadership of AL President Sheikh Hasina.
Quader said the sacrifice of Noor Hossain had intensified the movement of democracy in the country and that is why the November 10 is a glorious day of the country’s history.
