Land Service Week begins: Delivering land-related services ensuring transparency stressed

“The ‘Land Service Week’ begins across the country aiming to bring dynamism to land management and make people aware of their rights to land on Sunday.
In Kishoreganj, DC in Kishoreganj Mohammad Shamim Alam formally inaugurates the land Services Week in Kishoreganj, while Land Ministry Deputy Secretary (DS)in Law section Ishita Farzana as special guest in the programme on Sunday noon at Sadar Upazila land Office premises. ADC (Revenue) Md.Nuruzzaman presided over the programme. It was addressed among others by Sadar UNO Mohammad Ali Siddique, RDC Obidur Rahman Sahel, CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito and TIB-Sanak in Kishoreganj President Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu , Others dignified persons including land employees were also present.
DC Mohammad Shamim Alam said that at least 8 lakhs records of lands have been uploaded online in Kishoreganj. Many poor people became destitute due to land dispute. Therefore,, the complexity of case must be reduced.
DS Ishita Farzana said, the Land Ministry started monitoring the performance of law officials creating an environment for the internal competition. Her views on making the mutation process easier.
As part of the service week, District Administration in Kishoreganj organised different programmes from May 19 to 23 in the 13 upazilas of district with the theme “Vumi Office a Na Ashe-e Digital Vumi Seba Grohon” (Receiving digital land services without coming to the land office).
“Land service through dialing 16122 of call center” and “Land service by post” are given utmost importance in this year services.
During the fair, people will be encouraged to take digital land services, including e-mutation process, e-mutation service and payment of land development tax”.
BSS from Khulna reports : The Land Service Week’s inaugural ceremony and press briefing was held at the circuit house conference room in the city Sunday.
Aiming to give digital land service at the people doorsteps, Khulna Divisional Commissioner and District Administration officials jointly organised the event with Deputy Commissioner Md MoniruzzamanTalukder in the chair.
Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Ismail Hossain inaugurated the event and addressed the press briefing as chief guest while Joint Secretary of the Land Ministry Mahmud Hasan, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Rev) Shahidul Islam, President of Khulna Press Club S M Nazrul Islam, former president of Khulna Press Club SM Zahid Hossain and Khulna Journalists Union(KUJ) General Secretary Asaduzzaman Reaz, among others, addressed.
The chief guest said that the people are now getting benefit from digital land service.
Terming government officials in grass root level have been working for the welbeing of the common people, he said, adding that people are now giving land development tax through digital system without harassment and giving bribe.
The Land service week will continue at the collectorate building premises alongside all land office premises in the upazila where land service seekers will pay land tax and other goverment revenue throgh online after registration.
People will also get more services during the campaign at the land office premises including check receiving from mitigated land requsition. The services include E-Namjari, Certified Copies of Khatian, Parcha and other land related services.
BSS from Rajshahi says: Present government has been working relentlessly to reach the land services to the peoples doorsteps through digitizing those for welfare of the public in general.
 The government under the prudent and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has attained significant success in this field reducing public suffering and harassment to a greater extent.
 Administrative officials came up with the observation while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Land Service Week- 2022 here Monday.
Divisional and district administrations and Thana Land Office jointly hosted the ceremony at Boalia Thana Land Office premises largely attended by land administrative officials, staff and other stakeholders.
 Commissioner of Rajshahi division GSM Zafarullah addressed the meeting as chief guest, while Additional Commissioner Abu Taher Masud Rana and Zonal Settlement Officer Dr Sitara Begum spoke as special guests with Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Shariful Haque gave an illustration about the land service week during his documentary presentation related to the benefits of land automation and digitalization.
Commissioner Zafarullah told the meeting that the people are getting land records easily as a result of record room automation. Hundred percent land mutation online is in process at present, he said, adding that a project for digital land survey is being implemented in Rajshahi through collecting three dimensional satellite images.
BSS from Rangpur adds: Government officials at a discussion Sunday called upon officials and employees concerned to deliver land-related services to people in a hassle-free manner ensuring complete transparency. They made the call at the discussion arranged at the Sadar Upazila Land Office auditorium on the inaugural day of observance of the Land Service Week-2022 in the district.
Divisional Commissioner Md Abdul Wahhab Bhuiyan formally inaugurated the observance of the week by releasing balloons and attending the discussion as the chief guest.
Officials and employees of different government departments and offices, land-related service providers and civil society members were present.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md Asib Ahsan, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md Ibrahim Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Raihan Kabir, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nur Nahar Begum, General Secretary of city Awami League Tushar Kanti Mondal and Rangpur Press Club President Mahabub Rahman addressed the discussion as special guests.
