Several hundred people of Kishorganj Upazila under banner of ‘Committee for realisation of electoral constituency with undivided Kishorganj’ formed a human chain in front of the office of local Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) yesterday noon demanding delimitation of existing electoral constituency.
They also demanded to form a new electoral constituency keeping Kishorganj upazila undivided prior to ensuing 11th Jatiyo Sangsad Election.
Presently the upazila having nine unions is divided into two segments, as three unions along with Jaldhaka upazila constitute Nilphamari-3 constituency and the rest six unions are attached with Saidpur upazila for running Nilphamari-4
