A six-member delegation of Bangladeshi artists left Dhaka on Monday for Sri Lankan capital Colombo, to attend South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Artists Camp and Exhibition of Paintings -2018′.
Director of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) department of Fine Arts Ashraful Alam is leading the team, a BSA official told media. The ‘SAARC Artist Camp – 2018’ will kick off today in Colombo and continue till December 6, he added.
The other artists of the delegation are – Samina Nafiz, Sushanta Kumar Odhikari, Haroon or Rashid, Nazmun Nahar and Mohammad Shamsul Huq. The camp will be inaugurated with the participation of around 50 artists from the SAARC countries. The artists will sketch/paint pictures in different places of Sri lanka.
An exhibition of these paintings will be held in the camp.
The Bangladesh delegation is expected to return home on December 7.
