Speakers at a discussion on the 40th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman said the defeated forces of 1971 are trying to raise their heads high to destabilize the country and destroy peace and progress.These anti-liberation forces have again been hatching conspiracies at a time when Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is progressing fast and moving towards implementation of Digital Bangladesh, they told the function organized by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium on Thursday.Chaired by ICT Division Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder, the function was addressed, among others, by State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) chairman Sunil Kanti Bose, BCC Executive Director S M Asraful Islam.Tarana Halim said those who killed Bangabandhu had tried to erase the name of the Father of the Nation from the history and reversed the wheels of development, but failed. Describing the heinous acts of the post ’75 government, she said General Ziaur Rahman promulgated indemnity ordinance to protect the killers of Bangabandhu and burry the rule of law.
