An adult deer and a 10-feet long python were recovered from the human habitations of Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district on Sunday by the forest department of Sundarbans. The python was released in Sundarbans at Sunday afternoon by the forest guards. But the deer that was injured in the hands of the villageres has been undergoing treatment in a forest office of Sundarbans.
At Sunday noon the forest department recovered the deer and the python from Sonatala and Dhalirghop villages under Sharankhola Upazila respectively.
It is learnt from a source of the forest department that a deer and a python entered into Sonatala and Dhalirghop village under Sharankhola Upazila, adjacent to Sundarbans from the Bhola patrol outpost within Sharankhola Forst Range under the Eastern Division of Sundarbans in Bagerhat disrict. The villagers caught the spotted deer and the python. Being informed of the matter the forest gauds recovered the deer from Dhalirghop village and the python from Sonatala village and took them to Bhola forest patrol outpost office.
Md. Asaduzzaman, Station Officer of Sharankhola told, while the villagers tried to catch the spotted deer it became tired and fell ill as it used to move hither thither. It is being given treatment; but the python was released in the forest at Sunday afternoon.
