To mark the Martyred Intellectuals Day, Deepto TV is going to release a special docudrama on Dr Mohammad Martuza, who was killed by the Pakistani forces and their collaborators during the 1971 Liberation War.
Dr Martuza was a prominent physician and a prolific communist writer. His book ‘Population and Wealth’ earned him the 1964 National Bank Literature Award. A group of Al Badrs abducted him on December 14, 1971, using the saree of his little daughter as blindfold and his body was finally recovered on January 3, 1972. Based on his extraordinary life and illustrious career, a docudrama titled Surjoshontan Dr Mohammad Martuza will premiere on Deepto TV, on December 13 at 12:00am and December 14 at 12:10pm.
